Well, my name is Jaime Huffman (just got married!) and I live in Good ol’ music city, Nashville, TN!
I just moved here in July. So far, so good. My only complaint is that I miss being near the ocean!!! I feel a little landlocked. Nashville is a fun town. It is pretty big but it still has the nice small town feel. There is amazing live music EVERYWHERE and there is always something to do!
I come from a great family. It is just me, my mom, dad, and sister (and our Zoo! we have a ton of pets..) Unfortunately around Thanksgiving I received some devastating news when I found out my mom has larynx cancer. My friend, Erika Shay, described it well when she described it as a sucker punch right it the gut. It was so unexpected and I really didn’t know how to take the news. I am still trying to come to terms with everything. Good news though, mom is currently in remission. After extensive chemo and radiation treatments, the cancer is gone. So we are thrilled and just praying for continued good news and a fast recovery.
As of last month,my mom will never be able to speak again. Fortunately she has figured out several ways to still communicate. She learned to text message, she got a Facebook account, started her own blog, Iamasloth.com (which is hilarious by the way!), and she has a nice little dry erase board that she keeps with her. It is pretty surreal to think that this a few months ago we thought she had a sore throat. Overall, I feel blessed that she has been so courageous throughout this whole experience and has really kept our family hopeful and positive during this hard time.
Now my husband, Erik, and I are in Nashville trying to get our first home together and settled and are enjoying our time together!
Jamie,
I wanted to let you know that I’m off facebook and Hadley and I have been praying for you and your family. I hope you know that you have friends from all walks of life praying for your mom.
I know you have a lot of overwhelming emails, calls, etc, but email me when it is convenient for you.
ashleylee9@yahoo.com,
When is the big day?
love Ashley
you havent written in a couple of days. neither has mom…. Long weekend?
Jamie,
I am from Spartanburg, SC and I read about you in the Spartanburg Magazine. We loved watching you on Survivor. We were so proud to have someone from our town on our favorite show.
Now that you are famous, I’m sure you are getting tons of information, but I hope you will take the time to research this for your mom. You can read my story at the website shown above. Go down the left side and click on health stories, once you are in this website you can click on cancer and read numerous success stories. I did not have cancer; however, I have Fibromyalgia and my mother got me started on this and it turned my health around and turned my life around. And this is something that may help your mother. I don’t know what kind of treatment she is having, but people who drink this sometimes require fewer treatments. If your mother is having to have Chemo treatments, our new juice is clinically proven, with human blood studies to increase the body’s own Interleukin-2 by 58%. Chemo patients are actually given synthetic IL-2.
There are people who have been diagnosed with cancer and told nothing could be done and drank our juice and are now cancer free.
You don’t know me from Adam. You have no reason to believe me and I really can’t believe I’m sending this to you. But if someone had not shared this with my mother, I don’t know what kind of shape I would be in physically or emotionally.
There is hope for better health naturally that will help your mother’s body to heal itself. I pray that God will give her doctors wisdom in caring for her.
If you would like more information, please let me know.
